Atlanta’s Fox Theatre has announced that last year’s Christmas at the Fox “Larry, Carols and Mo” starring Larry-Douglas Embury concert will be an annual event. This years concert will be, Tuesday December 18th at 7:00 p.m.
Tickets for last year’s concert were gobbled up in 2 days. All 4,700 tickets has flown out the door when the concert was announced December 1st. It was standing room only.
This years event promises to be another hit. Larry-Douglas’ guests will be The Atlanta Boy Choir, his guests last year which were amazing. This year two other formidable guests will be choirs as well with the 110 voice Atlanta Gay Men’s Chorus and the choir of Ebenezer Baptist Church, (Dr. Kings church). There will also be the screening of “Miracle on 34th Street” – a seasonal favorite.
Staging for the event is under the direction of Andrew Nielsen, the production manager of the Fox. Andrew is planning to have snow falling off the marquee unto Peachtree Street as patrons arrive and out over the audience when Larry-Douglas and The Atlanta Boy Choir lead the audience in “Let it Snow!” The snow is clothing friendly.
Visit The Fox Theatre site for more information starting in mid November to December 1st for tickets. And did we mention that you always need a ticket to enter the Fox, but the evening’s entertainment is Free! Yes! It is the Fox Theatre’s gift to the community of Atlanta. The theatre will be decorated inside and out for the Christmas season. In the arcade, Macy’s is staging one of their beautiful window displays. Of course Santa is planning to attend with elves and Mrs. Claus.
This is an event you won’t want to miss!
